SWIMMING | More Records established in the Short Course Competitions in Kazan

During the morning session of the 5th Day of the European Short Course Swimming Championships being held in Kazan, Russia, all three Maltese swimmers established records in their respective competitions. 

Thomas Wareing took part in the 100m Medley. His time of 00:57.23 beat the previous record of 00:58.53 set by Mikhail Umnov in Zagreb in November 2017.

Sasha Gatt participated in the 200m Freestyle competition. Her time of 02:03.69 beat the previous record established by Mya Azzopardi (02:03.91) in Frosinone in November 2019

In the 800m freestyle competition Dylan Cachia’s time of 08:11.85 beat Neil Agius’ previous record of 08:44.20 which was established in October 2009 in England

Maltese swimmers will return in action tomorrow Sunday 7th November Sasha Gatt will compete in the 400m Freestyle and Thomas Wareing will take part in the 400m Individual Medley.
