The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta (ASA) will be hosting the fourth Time Trial for the 2020/2021 season on Saturday 13th February. Races will take place at the National Swimming Pool in Tal-Qroqq from 1000hrs onwards.

The third time trial which took place in January saw 174 swimmers representing seven clubs – Aqua Academy Exiles, Aquahub, Inspire Swimming Club, Marsaskala Sports Club, San Gilljan SW Elite, Sirens ASC and Sliema ASC – the latter club fielding the highest number of athletes and currently leading the team rankings.

Although no records were broken in this meet, the top three male performances were registered by Dylan Cachia (Sliema ASC) in the 800m freestyle, fellow team mate Simon Mallia in the 50m Butterfly and Sirens ASC swimmer Mikhail Umnov in the 50m Butterfly. In the Women’s category, it was an all Sirens ASC representation with Nicola Muscat topping the leaderboard in the 50m freestyle. She was folllowed by Amy Micallef and Leah Tanti who both performed well in the 50m Breaststroke.

The ASA is expecting a good turnout for Saturday’s event which will be streamed live from the Association’s Facebook Page from 0945hrs. Live Results will also be updated as the events progress.
